Rosemont, IL Dog Show | December 9, 10, & 11

Lots of sharing coming this blogs way! Last month we set up our traveling dog studio at the Rosemont Dog Show for three days and were so lucky at the cast of characters who visited us! Enjoy some of our favorites, and stay tuned for more dog goodness coming soon!

Dalmatians! | Wisconsin Dog Photographer

We are SO excited to share Pax and Karma with you! These two Dalmatians live in Stevens Point, WI and invited us to their home for a fun photo session! … And Pax? Yea, he came dangerously close to coming home in our camera bag ;)

Ellen Hardin - WOW! I love your photos of the Dalmations! As well as the 2-year old girl and her German Shorthaired Pointers. You have such a knack to capturing the personalities of your subjects.

Kaitlan Schick - Hi Guys! I love this photo shoot! We have a dalmatian too; he looks a lot like the one with less spots. Whenever we are back in the Midwest, I really want our dogs (Eddie – dalmatian and Larry – rhodesian ridgeback) to have a photo shoot with you!

Wausau, Wisconsin Dog Session … x4!

We love when dog owners invite us into their home and let us set up our dog studio right in their living room :) That is exactly what we did earlier this week with a Wausau, Wisconsin session. These four gentlemen are sure to make you smile! Say hello to Dillon, Winston, Devo and Jasper!

Maxwell | Milwaukee, Wisconsin dog photographer

Maxwell! What a fun session :) Yesterday we took a day trip down to Milwaukee to Maxwell’s house (I had to say that!) and I think that he knew he was the star of the show for the whole day because he completely stepped UP! I was warned that he gets a lot of pictures taken of himself, but I wasn’t warned that he knew it! Once we started shooting it was obvious that Maxwell knew what he was doing, and that he was running the show ;)

I hope you enjoy Maxwell’s session!

Brooklyn, Great Dane | Wisconsin Dog Photographer

Last weekend we were set up at the Fond du lac, WI dog show. It’s a wonderful small town show that we, along with my dad of McCartney & Company, love to set up at every year. The show was over Easter weekend this year (my dad and I celebrated the weekend with Mexcellent food every night!) and the dog show wasn’t as active as it has been in the past. But! There’s a major bright side to that. I got to meet Brooklyn! I saw her walking by and immediately I thought “I just have to get her into my studio!” I’m sure you’ve all had that thought go through your head at some point, right ;)

There’s something exciting, as an artist, about the work you do for yourself. I’m so glad Brooklyn’s owners agreed to take some time out of their day (I bribed them with a free print from the session) to let me have some fun! Don’t get me wrong, I have fun with every dog session that comes our way. But when a dog with a smooth coat, floppy ears, and color that matches my dark smokey background walks by … I get excited!

I hope you enjoy these photos of Brooklyn half as much as I did while making them!

The image below is my favorite! After taking it at the show, I worked it up, texted it to my wife (and uber amzing photog partner … check out this spread she created and photographed last week!), Kelsy, and her reply… “What a kaboose!”
